Ray Brammall FRPS EFIAP/p DPAGB APAGB BPE5* – I have been a member of Doncaster Camera Club since 1982 and President on six occasions. I have been a member of Doncaster Camera Club since 1982 and President on six occasions. I was President of the Yorkshire Photographic Union from 2011 – 2013. I just love making photographic images and whilst not specialising in any one subject, I particularly like taking Sport Action & Nature, and my work has been exhibited in over thirty countries worldwide. As a PAGB selector I am asked to judge and select at National and International Exhibitions

Alan Keen – My earliest memory of owning a camera dates back to when I was eight years old—on a Cub pack visit to London Zoo. Over the past 60 years, I have taken countless photographs, mostly family snaps. But it was not until I retired that I joined a camera club and embraced photography as my main hobby. The last decade has been a true journey of discovery, during which I have not only enjoyed my hobby immensely but also learned a great deal along the way. While I don’t limit myself to specific genres, I particularly enjoy dabbling in macro photography and portraiture, with a modest degree of success.

Ernest Godward

Ernest’s interest in photography began at the age of six, when his grandparents gave him his first camera. More than six decades later, photography remains a lifelong passion, with an extensive archive covering railways, landscapes, architecture and family life.

While at secondary school, Ernest joined the Photographic Society, where he developed his early skills, including traditional darkroom techniques. His professional career was spent mainly in railway economics and transport planning, including senior positions with organisations such as London Underground, British Railways Board and the European Union Agency for Railways.

His passion for railway photography has continued throughout his career, with his images appearing in publications including Modern Railways, The Railway Magazine, Rail and Today’s Railways. His architectural photography has also been published in Amateur Photographer and by Pentax.

Today, Ernest continues to enjoy photography, drawing on his many years of experience and his extensive photographic archive.
